You can pay 3 times more and no better than this Pioneer receiver. I bought the HDMI switch, after months of use I am still surprised by the sound! I have this only for the clarity of sound. The melody is a very good working car - better than when I was the professional audio equalizer in've noticed an improvement in SD video drop-SAT. To test the I 2 component video feeds from a satellite to direct the receiver to your TV and AB tested in a television age to avoid the HDTV, I know it worked. The VSX919 was better! Pioneer actually an attempt to get everything in this issue really hits the sweet spot all film critics, while the sound as 1st priority. The "bad as it is: The delays in processing the sound of the voice that you can not have enough in the TV sound from the sound source and receiver as well. Need to yell at the TV sound, sometimes a pain. But the clarity of sound, and monitoring results. making this course - and if you can live with 3 instead of 4 HDMI, save $ out of the VSX1019. Manual to read, but very complete. They are preparing to send some time to learn all you can do with this unit.
